There is an issue with Email acknowledgements when the user enters his name as "john doe" as being "Dear john doe" which is improper punctuation.
To fix, developers should create a script where First Name and Last Name of BBNC form parts will automatically capitalize the first initial of both first and last names. So if someone carelessly enters "john doe", the BBNC will change it as "John Doe" in the BBNC database (saved on the BBNC server).

Bethanne Mascio said:

In addition, I would appreciate autoformatting to correct any issues within the application - for example, if a person enters the entire form as all lower case letters the form should autocorrect.

Bethanne Masciotag:bbncfeedback.blackbaud.com,2008-02-07:Event/112809042012-05-03T09:04:55-07:002012-05-03T09:04:55-07:00complimentary event registration [updated]
It's important to have the ability to allow different price points for event registration, including complimentary registration for event. This sequence is used primarily in the United States, partially in Canada, and a few other countries[citation needed]. This date format was commonly used alongside the small endian form in the United Kingdom until the early 20th Century, and can be found in both defunct and modern print media such as the London Gazette and The Times, respectively. In the UK, it would be verbally expressed as Sunday, November the 9th, whereas in the United States, it is usually Sunday, November 9th, although usage of "the" isn't uncommon.

We have to either use a Web-based program or pay someone else for sitemap software. This should be included with NetCommunity hosting.

Trent Miles said:

Three votes for this one! First off, this is a basic function of any cms and very easy to integrate. Two, google needs an xml sitemape. Sure, you can use a third-party generator, but if you're using the new multisite version of BBNC, then you can't upload the file to the root directory or else it will overwrite the rest of your sites.

As of right now if a person registers for an event with a guest who is already in the RE database a NEW duplicate record is being created for that "guest" even if that person is already in RE. The ability to link an event guest to a constituent record would help prevent some of the RE constituent duplicates that arise from NC registrations for "event guests."

Stephen Leboutillier said:

Blackbaud- are you addressing this issue?

Stephen Leboutilliertag:bbncfeedback.blackbaud.com,2008-02-07:Event/111984032012-04-20T06:52:14-07:002012-04-20T06:52:14-07:00Net Community Membership Form
Alan Berquist suggested:
Allow users to sort the order of Membership Categories in the Membership Form. I haven't figured out if this will work to track the donation as a goal in GA, I just know that I followed the Google Analytics configuration instructions in Blackbaud labs (http://labs.blackbaud.com/NetCommunity/article?artid=669) and it was unsuccessful. It's possibly my user error, but the URL in the confirmation step in our donation process doesn't match the URL example they give in the instructions, so I think those instructions are now invalid for our version of Net Community.

Elizabethtag:bbncfeedback.blackbaud.com,2008-02-07:Event/111922922012-04-19T09:01:47-07:002012-04-19T09:01:47-07:00Allow NetCommunity to send email to multiple email types [updated]
Let NetCommunity "see" email1 and email2 fields not as dupes but as different emails so it can send to both.

Elizabeth said:

I came from a system that allowed multiple emails per record, with one as the primary, and I'm really surprised that NetCommunity is lacking this feature.

Elizabethtag:bbncfeedback.blackbaud.com,2008-02-07:Event/111909652012-04-19T05:48:52-07:002012-04-19T05:48:52-07:00have the ability to hide/automatically assign a username & password when registering
Andrew Brady suggested:
we would like some user registration parts to assign the username and password automatically, based on (possibly) the user import rules.
This would mean that the fields would be hidden from the end user, reducing confusion and annoyance at having to create yet another account for something. I am not happy with having to have these username and password fields in every type of form - they can be e-mailed to the registrant, and we can take things from there
Andrew Bradytag:bbncfeedback.blackbaud.com,2008-02-07:Event/111831732012-04-18T06:27:49-07:002012-04-18T06:27:49-07:00Giving History Option - page doesn't default to giving history
Michael Erwin suggested:
Currently, when a donor views their Giving History, the part shows the "Active" tab by default. The "Active" tab will search pledges ONLY -- items that have not been paid off completely. As an organization that does not use a pledge system with our donors, this is confusing to our users. The page is titled "Giving History," but the default is more akin to "Outstanding Pledges," not giving history.
I suggest at the very least an option on the page to display either "Active" or "History" as the default tab.
Michael Erwin
